Save-The-Child Ministries, Inc.
is a residential adolescent female care facility that each year provides a
home for 15 to 25 teenage girls in crisis situations. Some are pregnant, or
delinquents and some homeless. Each one comes to us in need of help. We provide
a Christian home life filled with shelter, love and security. Our goal is
to see to their spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and psychological
needs while they are with us. The girls attend church for worship and attend
youth activities. Their medical needs are met particularly those who are pregnant.
All of the girls are enrolled in private school where they can obtain traditional
as well as GED education. Save-The-Child began with a box of stationary, a one
hundred dollar a month commitment and a dream. From such humble beginnings,
the Lord has brought us to the beauty and spacous home on Oglethorpe Avenue.
Here we have been able to develop and nuture a secure and loving atmosphere
for those God sends to us.
